Dan graduated from University of San Diego School of Law in 2004. While in Law School, he participated in moot court competitions, and volunteered at the school’s pro bono legal clinics. In California, Dan worked for an workers’ compensation defense firm handling hundreds of cases across the State. He remained active in serving the community through pro bono work and was awarded the Wiley Emanuel Pro Bono Award from the California State Bar. In 2009, He returned to Wisconsin for family and worked in high conflict litigation earning him recognition as a Rising Star by SuperLawyers and a Top Ten Attorney by the National Academy of Family Law Attorneys. Dan has frequently mentored and coached at trial schools on advocacy and trial techniques.
Prior to Law School, Dan attended University of Wisconsin – Madison School of Business, and graduated in 2001 with a Bachelors of Business Administration. The son of an airline pilot, Dan moved from the West Coast to Wisconsin and attended Badger Highschool in Lake Geneva.
Dan’s passion for advocacy and desire to help people in need lead him to join the Groth Law Firm in 2019 with a focus on serving injured workers. Through years of litigation practice and extensive work with insurance companies, Dan understands the economics of case settlement and the hard work necessary to succeed in your case.
Dan is a member of the State Bar of Wisconsin, Wisconsin Association of Workers’ Compensation Attorneys, Waukesha County Bar Association, California Bar Association (inactive status), Eastern District of Wisconsin, Western District of Wisconsin, and Southern District of California. Outside of work, Dan enjoys travel with his wife and two young children, boating in Lake Country, competitive running and golfing.
